Luz Sepulveda Pantoja was born in Chihuahua Mexico on May 30, 1936 and passed away at home in Perris, California on August 8, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. Luz is survived by her husband of 33 years Juan Pantoja; 6 children Erminia Melchor, Eddy Buendia, Abel Buendia, Rosalinda Rodriguez, Anna Garza, & Mary Buendia; 21 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; 5 siblings Lupe, Roy, Bert, Alicia, & Jesus; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Luz was preceded in death by her daughter Elsa Buendia and 6 siblings.
Luz was the owner & operator of a Beauty Salon for 30 years. Her hobbies included going to Garage Sales, creating floral arrangements, and crocheting. Luz was a strong-willed lady that loved music and singing and making others laugh. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and also the Gemini Club wherein she helped raised money for Mexican American College Scholarships.
A viewing will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints located at 225 Mildred St., Perris, CA on Monday 8/20/18. A viewing will be from 10 am – 11:30 am. Services will start at 11:30 a.m. followed by a graveside ceremony at 1:15 pm at Riverside National Cemetery.
