María Rosario Ávila nació en Tierra Nueva, San Luis Potosí, México, el 5 de mayo de 1956. Era la quinta de seis hijos nacidos de Benjamin Montoya y Toribia Rodríguez. El 13 de enero de 1980, María se casó con su amado esposo Felipe Ávila y juntos compartieron 44 años de matrimonio. Fueron bendecidos con tres hijos César, Marco y Francisco. María disfrutaba pasar su tiempo con su familia, especialmente con sus nietos. Le gustaba cocinar y alimentar a su familia. Ella cocinaba tantos platos deliciosos como enchiladas, sopes, tortas hechas de ejotes y sabrosos chiles rellenos. "Ejotes para sus hijotes" es lo que siempre decia. En su tiempo libre le encantaba ir de compras. María tenía una hermosa Fe fuerte con Dios, disfrutaba rezar su rosario todos los días. El sábado 17 de agosto de 2019, María falleció pacíficamente con su familia a su lado en Buena Park, California. Será recordada por su amabilidad, generosidad, su espíritu simple y humilde y cuánto disfrutaba ayudando al projimo. Todos los que la conocieron la extrañarán por siempre y la amarán muchísimo. 

A Maria se le precedieron en la muerte a sus padres Benjamin Montoya y Toribia Rodríguez. Ella deja atrás para apreciar y vivir en su memoria a su amado esposo Felipe Ávila; sus tres hijos Cesar con su esposa Miriam Avila, Marco con su esposa Sheila Avila y Francisco con su esposa Dulce Avila; siete nietos Louie, Christian, Keanny, Samantha, Mia, Camila y Brandon; tres hermanas Angélica, Julia y Dolores; dos hermanos Lorenzo y Pedro; una gran cantidad de sobrinas y sobrinos y muchas amistades.

Una gran esposa y compañera, madre, abuela y amiga. Que descanse en paz.

Maria Rosario Avila was born in Tierra Nueva, San Luis Potosi, Mexico on May 5, 1956. She was the fifth of six children born to Benjamin Montoya and Toribia Rodriguez. On January 13, 1980 Maria married her loving husband Felipe Avila and together they shared 44 years of matrimony. They were blessed with three sons Cesar, Marco and Francisco. Maria enjoyed spending her time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking, and feeding her family. She cooked so many delicious plates like enchiladas, sopes, tortas made of green beans and her stuffed chiles. “Ejotes para sus hijotes” as she always said. In her free time she loved going shopping. Maria had a beautiful strong faith with God, she enjoyed praying her rosary daily. On Saturday August 17, 2019 Maria passed away peacefully with her family by her side in Buena Park, California. She will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, her simple and humble spirit and how much she enjoyed helping others.  She will be sorely missed and loved by all those who knew her.

 Maria is preceded in death by her parents Benjamin Montoya and Toribia Rodriguez. She leaves behind to cherish and live on in her memory her loving husband Felipe Avila; her three sons Cesar with wife Miriam Avila, Marco with wife Sheila Avila, and Francisco with wife Dulce Avila; seven grandchildren Louie, Christian, Keanny, Samantha, Mia, Camila and Brandon; three sisters Angelica, Julia and Dolores; two brothers Lorenzo and Pedro; a host of nieces and nephews and many friends.

 A wonderful loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend may she rest in peace.
