Maritza De Los Angeles Salazar
It is with great sadness that the family of Maritza De Los Angeles Salazar, of Menifee, announces her passing at the age of 66 years. She returned to her heavenly home on October 30, 2019 at Loma Linda University Medical Center-Murrieta, due to a myocardial infarction. She was born March 1, 1953, in Matanzas, Cuba to Roberto Emilio Felipe Hernandez and Eumelia Maria Hernandez, who preceded her in death.
Maritza graduated from Huntington Park High School in 1972. She married Jose Nunez Salazar on November 10, 1973 and had two children; daughter, Michelle Renee, born in 1976 and son, Jose Alejandro, born in 1982.
She graduated Cerritos College soon after with an Associate of Arts in Nursing and became a Registered Nurse. She worked briefly for Long Beach Memorial, then went on to Parkview Community Hospital of Riverside, where she dedicated more than 25 years as an R.N. in the Intensive Care Unit, Emergency Room and Recovery Room. She also worked part-time at Arrowhead Regional Hospital for over 15 years.
Maritza enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, going to the beach, shopping, traveling, walking, and was an avid reader. She was known for her beautiful smile, determination, strong work ethic, and her kind and compassionate spirit.
