Marjorie Ruth Booth

Marjorie R. Booth was born in Minahga MN, on August 11, 1921. She graduated high school in 1938 and was valedictorian of her class. 

Mom and grandpa moved to California in November of 1942.

Mom went to work at Goodyear Rubber in the fuel tanks for Bombers. Grandma brought the rest of the family. Mom's brother, Jr. Hancas and sister, Hermoine Hancas came to California in March 1943 and the family got jobs at various companies supporting the war effort.

Mom was a professional trades laborer and retried from Goodyear in January 1945. She married my dad, Harold Booth. Shortly after that, her only son, James M. Booth, was born in December 1946. Dad was in the Air Force. We were stationed in Europe in 1953. We spent 3 years in England and 18 months in Holland. We came back to New York in 1956. Dad bought a new car  and we drove back to California. Mom was a housewife while I was in school. Mom volunteered at the Patton State Hospital Senior Center for 40 years.

Mom is survived by her son, James M. Booth. Grandkids, James M Booth, Jr. and Jason M. Booth, Rosa Booth. Great-grandkids, Judianna Booth, Jolene Maya Booth, Jorja Booth and Joan Booth.
