Martha was born May 3rd 1941 in Chicago, IL. She was the daughter of Bruce and Martha Piper, and had a sister and 2 brothers. Martha's family moved to Nashville, TN in 1950 and she spent most of her younger years there. She attended Hillsboro High in Nashville and graduated in 1959. She went to college at the University of Tennessee. After 2 years of college she met an Air force 2nd/Lt. Edward Lamm and after a brief courtship they were married in 1961. Edward a career officer, was a great husband and the Air Force was a wonderful life for them and their two sons, who completed their family. They spent many years camping, boating, water skiing and snow skiing as a very close family. Martha was a great mother and wife and was the key to their success as a family along with her wonderful husband. Her two sons Mike and Craig, her husband Edward were the light of her life and she always let them know of her deep love and affection.
Martha loved camping and being outdoors with her family. She also loved family reunions with her extended family so very much. Family was one of the most important parts of her life. She loved making pretty things, and was always in the process of making something. Crafting was her passion. Her talents included knitting, cross stitching, rug hooking and making jewelry.
Martha is survived by her living husband Edward and their two sons Mike and Craig, their daughter-in-law Pamela, four Grandchildren and three Great Grandchildren.
