Mary Patricia Crawford

   It is with great sadness that I announce the passing of my wife and best friend Mary Patricia Crawford on April 7, 2021 in San Diego, CA. She was born on January 27, 1944 to Patrick and Mary Walsh. She had one brother and two sisters. She graduated from Our Lady of Perpetual Help High School in Downey, CA and earned a BA in English from California State University Long Beach (CSULB). She taught school after her graduation. Later she changed careers and worked as a banker. 

   Pat (As I knew her) and I met on a President's Day Weekend mountain trip to Big Bear Lake, CA with our Catholic Singles Club. We hit it off and on St. Patrick's Day I asked her out on our first date. It took us six years of dating to get around to getting married. On St. Patrick's Day March 17, 1990 we were married. We went to Lake Tahoe, NV for our honeymoon. Every five years we would go back to Lake Tahoe for our anniversary. Last year we went in October and she got to see the fall colors. I think she knew it would be her last trip. This year was our 31st anniversary.

   Pat had many interests. She was a member of the Native Daughter's of the Golden West, and a Red Hatter.. She liked to travel and we made two trips to Ireland to visit with her family there. They were fun trips and we enjoyed meeting everyone there. She enjoyed going on cruises, camping, entertaining and her pets. Most of all she was proud of her 1967 Mustang that she bought new and took to car shows.

   She is survived by her husband Mike, sister, nieces, nephews,and their families and her family members in Ireland. She will be greatly missed by all those that knew and loved her.

   She will be interred at the Riverside National Cemetery in Riverside, CA.
