Mary Ann Twombley

Mary Ann Twombley passed away peacefully in her sleep at Amazing Grace Care Home on December 28th, 2019 in Lake Elsinore, California at the age of 85.

Mary is survived by her son John Twombley, daughter Julie Hotrum, grandchildren April, Robert and Jessi and great grandchildren Savannah, David, Ryder and Mia.  She is preceded in death by her parents Charles Arnold and Gladys Arnold. Her sister Jody Brunelle and her aunt Frances Arnold.

Mary was born on April 1st, 1934 in Marysville, Kansas to Charles William Arnold and Gladys Arnold.  She graduated from South Gate High School in 1952.  She married Eugene Twombley  in 1953.  They divorced in 1972.  Mary worked as a bookkeeper for Structural Composite Industries for over 30 years and retired at age 65.  She moved to Temecula in 2000 to be closer to family.  

Mary enjoyed gardening and cooking.  You would always find flowers and herbs in her home.  She loved doing crossword puzzles and reading until her vision failed.  She loved county music and watching John Hagee.

A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, January 18th, 2020 at 1:00 pm at Evans Brown Mortuary in Sun City, with a reception to follow.  Her son, Rev. John Twombley will officiate the ceremony.  All are welcome to attend and celebrate Mary’s life.
