On November 18, 2022, Ofelia Casillas passed away at the age of 68. She was born in Mexico city on January 26, 1954, but she lived most of her adult life in Tijuana and San Diego. Ofelia was the mother of Leticia, Adriana, Victor, Alejandra, Miguel, and Esmeralda. As a young divorced woman, Ofelia ventured with her children to leave her life in southern Mexico. She was the true definition of courage, as she came to work in Tijuana to make a better life for the people she loved. As the years went by, Ofelia worked hard to provide for her children and established roots in this border city. She loved hanging out with her children in her free time, going to casinos for fun, and playing her favorite game Candy Crush Saga. She also enjoyed working alongside her daughter, Esme, in her tire shop. Ofelia lived with Esme in El Cajon, where she helped raise her twin boys. As time went by, her family grew larger and when she passed, she left 24 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Ofelia will be remembered for her strength, humor, and determination to succeed in life. She was an independent and hardworking woman who enjoyed her life to the fullest until the end. A private viewing will be held on Wednesday, November 30, 2022 from 4-8pm with the Celebration service to start at 6pm at Evans-Brown Mortuary, Menifee.

El 18 de noviembre de 2022, Ofelia Casillas falleció a la edad de 68 años. Nació en la Ciudad de México el 26 de enero de 1954, pero vivió la mayor parte de su vida adulta en Tijuana y San Diego. Ofelia fue la madre de Leticia, Adriana, Víctor, Alejandra, Miguel y Esmeralda. Como una joven divorciada, Ofelia se aventuró con sus hijos a dejar su vida en el sur de México. Ella era la verdadera definición de valentía, cuando vino a trabajar en Tijuana para hacer una vida mejor para la gente que amaba. Con el paso de los años, Ofelia trabajó duro para mantener a sus hijos y estableció raíces en esta ciudad fronteriza. Le encantaba pasar el rato con sus hijos en su tiempo libre, ir a los casinos por diversión, y jugar a su juego favorito Candy Crush Saga. También disfrutó trabajando junto a su hija, Esme, en su taller de llantas. Ofelia vivía con Esme en El Cajón, donde ayudó a criar a sus hijos gemelos. Con el paso del tiempo, su familia creció y cuando falleció, dejó 24 nietos y 8 bisnietos. Ofelia será recordada por su fuerza, humor y determinación para tener éxito en la vida. Era una mujer independiente y trabajadora que disfrutó de su vida al máximo hasta el final. Una visita privada será el miércoles 30 de noviembre de 2022 de 4 a 8 p.m. con el servicio de celebración que comenzará a las 6 p.m. en Evans-Brown Mortuary, Menifee.
