Patricia Claire Densmore

Patricia Claire (Peterson) Densmore of Lake Elsinore, CA passed away peacefully at home on Sunday March 12, 2023 after an extended illness. 

She is survived by her husband, Donald Densmore, her children Theresa L. Vieira, Wayne A. Vieira, Carolyn E. Vieira-Martinez and Dana M. Valdepena, her 9 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren, and her sister Gloria Peterson.

She was born March 4, 1939 in Bell, CA, the eldest child of Ethylene (Monk) Peterson and Clarence Peterson.  She attended Morningside High School in Inglewood, California and graduated with BA in philosophy from Oakland University, Rochester, MI.  She married Wayne R. Vieira (deceased) in 1957 and Donald Densmore in 1989.

She was a quiet, reserved woman of many talents.  She was active in several churches over the years. She embraced the electronic age and was the first in her family, including her children, to own a computer.  She was an artist, selling a few oil paintings and creating several tapestries for Shrine of the Little Flower Basilica in Royal Oak, MI.  She was a grower of bromeliad plants, creating several new cultivars. She loved animals, owning dogs, cats, and parrots.  Her dog Benji misses her already.

She retired from Agrono-Tec as a bookkeeper in 2004, enjoying many interests in retirement including music, genealogy, growing succulents and stamp collecting.

She has left a hole in the heart of those who loved her but she is finally at rest.  Viewing will be 10:30 am to 12:30 pm March 27 at Evans-Brown Mortuary in Lake Elsinore, CA followed by a graveside service in Riverside National Cemetery at 1:30 pm.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to either the American Lung Association or the Dementia Society of America.
