Patricia was born in Oxnard, Ca. to Jesus Ortiz and Epigmenia De La Torre in 1929. Not long after she was born her parents would move back to Zacatecas where she was raised with her nine siblings.
In 1946 at the age of 17, Patricia would marry Mr. Casimiro Marquez and soon after, together they would start a large family of their own. In 1962 Patricia and Casimiro would make the decision to take their family back to California where they would permanently settle in the Perris area.
Patricia was a devoted wife and mother. She took great pride in providing a safe and loving home for her eight children, which later included a safe haven for her grandchildren as well. As a dedicated home maker her focus was to instill in her children and grandchildren with a sense of loyalty to family, exceptional work ethic, perseverance through adversity, self-confidence, and a devotion to their Catholic faith.
Patricia was preceded in death by her beloved husband Casimiro and their first born child Clara Rodriguez. She is survived by her remaining seven children, Margarita Rodriguez, Jesus Marquez, Armando Marquez, Arturo Marquez Sr., Carmen Rodriguez, Angela Calvillo, Patricia Aguiluz, 26 grandchildren, 47 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Friday December 14th at Evans Brown Mortuary - Sun City. There will be a private family viewing from 8:00am to 9:00am, then open for a public viewing from 9:00am till 11:30am. Mass will begin promptly at 12:00pm at St. James Catholic Church followed by burial at Perris Valley Cemetery at 1:30pm.
