Randy Garrison

Randy Neil Garrison departed from this life on November 5, 2018, leaving behind his loving wife, Joan Roods, sisters Roxenne Garrison Kendall of Clark, Missouri, Mo Debra Garrison Bratcher of Largo, Florida, and son Steven Myers of Georgia; Step-children, Meaghan Dennis [nee Roods] of Georgia, Kyle Roods of Fallbrook, California and Keeley Roods of Temecula, California whom he loved as his own. Randy was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Richard Garrison of Seaman, Ohio, and mother Delores Maxine Banks of Newton, Iowa, and by his brother, Ricky Garrison. Randy was a fourteen-year veteran of the United States Army, very active in VFW Post 4089, and a beloved handyman in the community, known to show up in the blink of an eye for any household emergency. Most of all, Randy was known as being a loyal friend and dedicated husband. He leaves hundreds of grieving friends in his wake whom he inspired, cared for, and treated like family. For this, his loss is felt deeply within the community. He will be interred at Riverside National Cemetery on November 28th in a private ceremony. A memorial for friends and family will take place at VFW Post 4089 on December 1st at 3 p.m.
