Richard Risley Davison's story begins on January 05, 1943 when he was born in Corpus Christi, Texas. He was the fourth of five children born to John and Adele Davison.  He attended Loudoun County High School in Leesburg, Virginia, then went on to attain a Bachelor of Arts at Shepherd College in Shepherdstown, West Virginia, and a Master of Arts in Theater at Pittsburg State University in Pittsburg, Kansas. Richard was active in local theater groups for many years, before devoting himself as a Christian playwright for over 25 years. He enjoyed anything in the visual arts. In his free time, he enjoyed watching theatrical plays, old movies and writing. He had a very strong faith in God; one of his fondest wishes was to one-day merge his two biggest passions - a Christian play!

On July 02, 1994 Richard met Michelle at church; they fell in love and soon married. Richard was blessed to raise his step-children Gilbert and Michelle as his own. He was a wonderful step-father and step-grandfather. He will be remembered for his love and dedication, his strong faith in God and his genuine kindness. He enjoyed helping everyone, always lending an ear to anyone that needed to talk.

Richard is now welcomed with open arms by his parents John and Adele Davison; his older brother Jack Davison; his older sister Jill Prickett. He leaves behind to cherish and live on in his memory his loving wife with whom he shared 25 wonderful years Michelle Davison; his step-children Gilbert and Michelle; his sister Dori with husband CW Comer; his brother Henry with his wife Susan Davison; a host of nieces and nephews; two sister-in-laws Renee and Shirley; his church family; and many friends and people whose life Richard has touched through his writing, faith and kindness.

Richard is now in the eternity of light as God promised, continuing his amazing creative writing, unable to find the words to describe how beautiful heaven must be through his writing.
