Robert Hilt

Robert Hilt “Bob” was born in Bunkie, Louisiana on August 23, 1935 and entered eternal life on May 3, 2019 in Murrieta, California.

Bob moved from Bunkie, Louisiana to Los Angeles, California with his family when he was in the 3rd grade.  He grew up in Los Angeles and met the love of his life, Carolyn when he was 24 years old.  They married after just 2 months of dating, and never looked back.  They have enjoyed over 59 years of marriage.  Together, they built a family.  Bob is survived by his loving wife Carolyn; his three sons Michael, Bryan, and Gary; four grandchildren Bryan Jr., Sharnay, Olivia, & Amber; Great-grandson Bryson; and a host of nieces & nephews.  He was preceded in death by his grandson Stephen.

Professionally, Bob worked as a systems analyst for Kaiser Permanente for 39 years.  Over the years, Bob had many hobbies including camping, drawing, singing, architecture, and carpentry.  Bob was a strong Christian and devoted himself to his church community.  He was an active member of Brookin AME Church in Los Angeles and more recently with Menifee Bible Church.  His ministry brought him to visit the sick and minister to the incarcerated.  He also served as a drug & alcohol Counselor.

A viewing and service will be held at Menifee Bible Church on Friday May 10, 2019 at 10:00 am and 11:00 am, respectively.  A graveside service with military honors will be held on Monday May 13, 2019 at 11 am at Inglewood Park Cemetery.
