Tribute

Our Dad, Rogelio Tentia Territorio born November 5, 1942 in a small town of Tigbauan, Iloilo, Philippines. 2nd son of a blacksmith, Juan Tertitorio and a housewife, Julieta Tentia Tertitorio. His younger siblings are Gloria, Basilio and Romeo. With his father struggling to make ends meet for his family, Roger, as what his family and friends usually calls him, only completed 3rd grade in a public school and was asked by his parents to work at an early age of 14 , traveled and moved to Manila to work for his uncle in an auto shop where he learned his skill in auto body repair, in which , he excelled and was hired to work for several auto repair shops in Manila. In one of the shops he worked for, he was able to meet and get to know the love of his life , our Mom, Rebecca Villafuerte Territorio (deceased). In January 14 1968, they got married and was blessed to have 4 children , Maria Januaria,  Juliet, Maria Concepcion and Patrick John Jerome. They had 12 grand children , Craig, Aaron, Bryon, Rebecca, Janelle, Chance, Rober, Celine, RJ, Adrianne, Malaya and Marley. Had one great granddaughter, January, where they were able to see and spend some time. Roger, a very hard working husband and father , who works as a welder, decided to work in the Middle East for a couple of years to be able to provide for his family and give them a good and comfortable life he wasn't able to experience. His limited education didn't become a hindrance  to achieve his goal of giving his family a better life. Few of the important lessons  in life our Dad has instill on us  is the importance of education , hardwork, good work ethics, respect and  importance of family.
He moved and resided in Oceanside and worked in Manheim  San Diego Auction for over 20 years . He enjoyed gardening, fishing , playing poker and slots . He also enjoys spending time with his grandkids. He was diagnosed with liver cancer in 2014, had a liver surgery in 2016 and was advised by his doctors to retire from work. In 2017, they decided to sell their Oceanside home and bought a mobile home in Vista, Ca. This is where he and Rebecca spend their last days of their lives together. Roger was loved by everybody , his generosity , willingness to help others and specially his comic acts and comments will surely be missed by everyone .
