Rudy Russell Kozik was born in Lexington, Kentucky on March 18, 1944 to parents Arthur and Anne Kozik. He passed away suddenly at home in San Jacinto, California on Thursday, August 16, 2018. Rudy is survived by his loving wife of 33 years Connie Kozik; and his children Melanie, Serena, and Russell; eleven grandchildren; and his half-sister Susan.
Rudy proudly served his country in the Marine Corps. He worked professionally in the Aerospace industry for 35 years at a few companies before retiring from Boeing as an Aircraft Inspector. He enjoyed airplanes so much that he took private flying lessons and received a recreational pilot’s license. He also built a Gyrocopter which he flew for fun for a number of years. With his love of flying, he built various RC flyable scale model airplanes. Rudy was an adventurous outdoorsman that loved riding motorcycles and camping. He was also very artistic and enjoyed playing several instruments including Banjo, Harmonica, Mandolin, and Guitar.
A viewing will be held on Saturday, August 25, 2018 starting at 10:00 a.m. with a service immediately following at 2:00 p.m. at Evans Brown Sun City Mortuary Chapel. Private inurnment will take place at Riverside National Cemetery on Tuesday, August 28, 2018.
