Stephen Carl Kilburn

Steve Kilburn passed away on the evening of Sunday, February 21, 2021 at the age of 78.

Steve was born on May 10, 1942 to Martha and Carl Kilburn of Lapel, Indiana.  Steve is survived by his partner Nancy Sherwood, his brother Stanley Kilburn and sister-in-law Karen, his brother Philip Kilburn, his brother Alan Kilburn and sister-in-law Susan, and his brother Dennis Kilburn as well as nieces and nephews.

Steve attended the University of Indiana.  Later he moved to California and joined the Peace Corp where he worked in the Grand Canyon.  He then worked as an Insurance Agent and later as a Real Estate Agent for Coldwell Banker where he received yearly awards for outstanding performance.  He loved his work and coworkers and was beloved by them.

Steve loved family, friends and his pets.  He enjoyed music and was a great photographer.  He touched many people’s lives and will be remembered in people’s hearts.

In lieu of flowers Steve’s family would ask donations mailed to Nightingale Hospice, 41690 Ivy Street, Murrieta, CA 92562 because of the kindness they showed.
