Thomas Paul Doxie

Thomas Doxie, age 67, passed away September 2, 2018, with friends and family by his bedside.  He was born in Pasadena, California, on April 20, 1953, to Robert and Josephine Doxie. Thomas was the oldest son of seven children.  The family lived in Perris, California most of his childhood, graduating from Perris Union High School in 1969.  He married his wife, Diana in 1971 and they were together for 47 years.

Thomas always said that he began his, “Best Life,” in 1989 when he surrendered his life to the Lord.  During the next 29 years, he was truly a man of God who loved to serve Jesus in whatever way he could.  In 1999, he became pastor at Westside Baptist Church in Fontana, CA and served there until he became disabled in 2006.  Thomas was, “One of a kind,” and never allowed disability to define him.  He continued to preach, lead Bible Studies and counsel others.  He remained active and had many hobbies until he went to be with the Lord.

Thomas is survived by his wife, Diana, his mother, Josephine, 3 brothers, 2 sisters and many nieces and nephews.
