Thomas Edward Utley

September 21, 1954 – June 22, 2017

Thomas (Tom) Edward Utley, 62, of Temecula, passed away on June 22, 2017, at his home.

Tom was born in Los Angeles, California on September 21, 1954. He graduated from Rolling Hills High School.

Tom worked as a Farm manager for the family avocado farm for over 30 years.  He was passionate about the work he did. He also enjoyed spending time with his two dogs, Maggie and Buddy. Tom was a man of few words and was known to say things like 50/10 if someone spoke too much. “What you say in 50 words, try saying in 10.” Tom was also a member of Knights of Columbus. Tom was a proud member of the NRA . He enjoyed traveling, sport fishing and hunting. He was the youngest person to ever hit the 4th Knight level. Tom was a very humble man and had a great heart. We knew he had a big heart, but listening to others share about their experiences with Tom over the last few days has just shown us how big it truly was.

Tom is survived by mother Patricia, brothers Michael, John, Robert, Daniel and Chris. Tom was also blessed with many nieces, nephews, and cousin’s and his many friends. Tom is preceded in death by his father Jack, brother Patrick and cousin Shannon.

The memorial mass will be held July 6, at 11:00 am at St. Catherine’s, in Temecula. Burial will be a private event at a later date, at Temecula Cemetery.
