William Arthur Lee

William “Bill” Arthur Lee, of Menifee, California, was born on January 9, 1947 in Eugene, Oregon, and went to the Lord on November 20, 2018 at the age of 71.  Bill, his sister Bonnie, and his parents Edna Lien Lee and Chester Lee, moved to Southern California in 1952. He graduated from Garden Grove High School in 1965.  Bill was a people person, so immediately after high school graduation, he volunteered with VISTA (Volunteers in Service To America) for two years in the Appalachian Mountains before returning to California to attend college.  He graduated from California State University, Fullerton with a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing in 1974 and then began his career in Sales Management and health insurance.

Bill, and the love of his life, his wife, Maureen, lived most of their 38-year marriage in Phillips Ranch, Canyon Lake, and Menifee, California.  Bill owned and operated Lee Insurance Services, where he was able to assist his clients in choosing health insurance options and navigating the world of Medicare.  This was a job he truly loved because it utilized his wonderful ability to connect with people and his desire to help others.

Bill was a loving father who was so very proud of his five children and ten grandchildren.  He leaves a great legacy in his sons, David (Desiree), Craig (Sheila), and Michael Lee; daughters, Cindy Ralls, and Debbi (Luis) Garcia; and grandchildren, Araceli Garcia, De’Vynn Hampton, Kayla Fuentes, Lexi Lee, Niki Lee, Andrew Garcia, Joshua Lee, Alex Garcia, Jacob Ralls, and Jordynn Lee.  Bill’s sister, Bonnie Haase; his brother-in-law, Steve, of Eugene, Oregon; his nephew, Jeff (Shannon) Haase; his nieces, Lisa Haase, and Traci (Rich) Babcock; along with Bill’s several great-nieces and nephews were also a tremendous joy to him.  He loved traveling to Oregon to spend time with them.  Bill also leaves behind his adored dogs, Max and Maya.

Bill had a passion for throwing a great backyard party, which usually involved barbecuing with Maureen at his side.  He was the world’s best host, never turned down a reason to celebrate, and loved making all those around him smile.  He relished traveling and organizing outings and camping trips with his family and friends.  He lived life to the fullest and always knew how to make those close to him feel special and loved.  He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Friends and family members may attend Bill’s Celebration of Life on Saturday, February 9, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at Evans-Brown Mortuary Chapel, 27010 Encanto Drive, Sun City, California, 92585.  Immediately following the service, there will be a reception with a chance to remember Bill and share stories of his life with his family and friends.
