Edward Dean Livingston

Dean was born on a farm in the small town of Williamsburg, Iowa on August 16, 1922 and was the fifth child of Edward Livingston and Elizabeth “Lizzie” Marie Meier.
He had 4 sisters: Iola Weekly (deceased), Leona Kleever (deceased), Joyce Stangland, Frances Munson; 4 brothers: Melvin (deceased), Eugene (deceased), Tom, Garth; and 3 step siblings: Dorothy (deceased), Bruce (deceased), Jean.
He married Colleen Ann Hite on August 12, 1950 in Lakewood, California and they had 2 daughters Carol (Groshon) and Nancy (McAuliffe)
Then came 3 grandsons: Matthew Maeser, Daniel McAuliff, Jeffrey Groshon; and 5 great grandchildren: Samayla, Matthew, and Brooklyn Maeser plus baby boy Maeser to be born this July to Olivia Groshon.
Dean and Colleen moved to The Farm in Wildomar, CA in 1985 where Colleen passed away after a long illness January, 2003. They were married 52 yrs 5 mos. They were very active at The Farm putting on the Farm Fair several years and were active members of The Lions-Lioness Clubs. Dean also served on The Farm Maintenance Committee, ACC and the FPOA Board of Directors. He was a member of the Farm Mutual Water Company Board of Directors for over 12 years where he helped with the rebuilding of the Water Co. He left the Water Co. in 2010.
After Colleen passed and living alone for a year, he married his neighbor, Donna Rubes, in 2004 and moved to Menifee. After Donna passed away in September, 2013, Dean moved back to The Farm.
Awards: The Gordon Cox Farm Lifetime Achievement Award “for his thousands of hours invested in making The Farm a Better Community”; several from the Lions Club for service including The Melvin Jones Fellow for dedicated humanitarian services, Lion of the Year, and the President's Award.
Charities he contributed to: VFW, Paralyzed Veterans of America, American Legion, USO, Wounded Warrior Project, Liberty Guard, Salvation Army, American Cancer Society, Community Cupboard of Menifee, and Reagan Ranch.
