My dear brother in law has gone to heaven to be with Jesus. Les is having a glorious time telling his stories to family and friends. He will be missed by many and especially his family on earth as we celebrate Christmas this year. The picture is of Les and my sister Lynn last Christmas.

Les was my brother in law. My husband and I have known Les for over 30 yrs. we loved him like a brother. I feel so very sad for my sister Lynn but she is a very strong lady so I know she will be ok with time. Although we lived far apart, Les always made us feel so welcome when we visited. He loved to give my sister gifts and would go all out to find not one nice gift but MANY gifts!!! ๐Ÿ˜Š Mitch and I have comfort in knowing Les is at peace now in heaven with his mom, dad and siblings waiting for us to join him, love you brother Les๐Ÿ˜ž ๐Ÿ’œ

Wonderful memory

My Step-Dad passed away peacefully Sunday night, the man that raised me for most of my youth, with his loved one by his side.

He married my mom when I was about 5 yrs old, took full responsibility for me and always made sure we had what we needed.

He and my mom helped me learn how to raise animals (just like on a farm) which also helped me to buy my own horse.

We raised all kinds of critters like various tropical birds, chickens, pheasant, bunnies, pigs, cows, goats (which I milked 2X day, bottle fed calves and syringe fed baby birds). He made sure I was a part of a lot of it and that I raked the land of rocks so that the animals didn't hurt themselves. I gained great respect for animals and how some were meant to sustain us.ย

One of my fondest memories was when he was carrying a baby calf in his arms and nails in his mouth as he was tasking/mending.

At that time, I looked over and saw him walk straight into the LIVE HOT-WIRE FENCE! He let out a muffled yell with his mouth full of those nails and we laughed about it afterwards. There was never a shortage of a mouth to feed, a post hole to dig or an area that needed roto-tilling and he always tended to them or made sure someone did.
He was always building or improving something like all types of animal shelter, an aviary, a rabbit hutch, pig pen, a tack/storage room, calf pens, fences, gardens, etc. or pouring concrete as well as the vehicles usually got worked on by him all while he worked a full time job.

Les also walked me down the isle along with my biological dad when I got married to give me away and was there to see my daughters after they were born.

He knew Jesus and joins his parents and siblings so my heart rejoices for him. I am so glad we got to communicate this last year about some family tree information I found for him and he shared memories of hunting with his family and such back in the day. He and his family had a role in helping us have a place to raise our girls from birth to grown and planted a seed in the knowledge of Jesus even tho it didn't take until I was an adult. He was the last of his family to go and be with the Lord.

Please pray for my Mom as she mourns for her other half, the person that completed her and goes through planning, changes and transitions.

I am so thankful for my Step-Brother Bob in helping my mother while I couldn't be there, he has been such a blessing and a rock.

~Thank you for your thoughts and prayers, April~
