Tina Marie Horner

Tina Marie Horner was born August 12, 1961 in Fremont, California.  She lived in Murrieta, California for 22 years. On November 27th, 2017 she passed away in her daughter’s home in Menifee, surrounded by family, after a short 15-month battle with Triple Negative Breast Cancer.  She is survived by her daughter Courtney Chebat, son Colby Horner, son-in-law Joe Chebat, her grandchildren Joey, Zachary and Shane Chebat, her sister Tami Ridge, brother Robert Lopez and her step-father Clarence Young.  She is preceded in death by her mother, Marie Young.

             Tina was a selfless, loving mother and grandmother.  Her world revolved around her children and even more so around her grandchildren.  She dedicated 30 years of service with the Santa Ana Police Department where she rose in ranks to become a loved and respected Communications Manager.  When she was diagnosed with Triple Negative Breast Cancer she retired from the department so she could fight with every fiber of her being against this horrible disease.  She was a true warrior and a pillar of strength to anyone who knew her, especially her family.  She loved to travel having been to Italy, Greece, Turkey, England and Ireland. She had a long list of places she wanted to visit in retirement, including going on an African Safari, and she hoped to return to Italy again, since that was her favorite country.  She loved to bake and was always watching Food Network or on Pinterest looking for the next treat to bake for her grandchildren.  She was an incredible human being, woman, mom and grandmother who left this Earth too young.  She will always be loved, cherished and missed.
