Shadow, such a beautiful and heartwarming lady. She was my second mom, especially while I was growing up in Lakewood, CA. She always had a smile, even after coming home from a hard days work at the hospital. She made me feel like one of her daughters. She had a WONDERFUL sense of humor. I used to laugh so hard when she would hold Butch and pinch his tiny little butt. I have very fond memories of my childhood because of her. She inspired me to become a nurse. Many thanks to this beautiful person for giving me another family and showing me unselfish love. Love you Shadow. God Bless you and your family.

Message from Pam Esquivel Weise

I will always remember the family vacation that brought my mom, Vicki, Perry and me to beautiful CA. I cherish those memories and getting to know my extended family. Aunt Shadow took very good care of me when I got very ill during our trip. I always remember her being very tender and sweet. Her happy laugh!

It's hard to let go of those we love but she will always be looking over her family. I believe that with all my heart. God bless you all.

I will love you and miss you for the rest of my life. There are no words to describe how special you were, not only to me, but to everyone in our family. You took care of everyone, always, no matter what.

I will always remember growing up at your house (I never wanted to leave!), our family parties, our month long road trips and all of the places we visited together. Those have been some of the best experiences of my life. I had SO MUCH fun with you, even doing the small things on those trips...like the laundry! We were always excited to check out each new campsite we traveled to...their pool, camp store, and clubhouse. As we drove from state to state, I remember playing cards or jacks with you in the motor home and listening to all of the cassettes you had of oldies and country...we loved our music.

I love that you got to meet my husband and two of my kids. You were with me from when I was a baby up until I started my own family...and I feel so lucky to have had that. I wish my kids would have had the chance to know you like I did. But I am so grateful that I got to make so many special memories with you and will remember them for the rest of my life. My kids will always know what a special person their great-grandma was. I love you Grano and I miss you so so so much.
